  1. Are you planning on putting this into your portfolio? If so, I really really want you to consider using another font.

That curlycue guy doesn't say "Old West" to me and it definitely doesn't say "Shoot Out." Try Rosewood - its the western font we looked at in class yesterday. A font search online should also yield some pretty good western fonts as well.

Next, I want to talk to you about the townspeople. They don't fit your drawing style (which is PERFECT!) in the rest of the piece. I'll show you how to use masks again if you'd like before class on Thursday. With a mask, we can make the townspeople fade into the shadows of the window.

That is a good place to start - but the colors and level of detail is not up to par with the rest of the piece. Give these guys some hair or hats ... or anything to make them look a little more human. Lets also put a very little trembling animation on them to make them look very frightened in anticipation.

I absolutely love this piece - I was so proud of you when I saw the final piece! I think with a few revisions, this could really be something special!

  2. Also! you can change your thumb nail for vimeo (the image it displays when the movie isn't playing) for instance - right now its your townies. Please change it to something else! A view of your town or the cowboy.
